v. Capricorn Full Moon
what is the work that you need to do in order to create a life where work, career and business syncs in harmony with other important aspects of your life?
It has been two months since I’ve written something for my blog. Really, it has to do with my fluctuating energy levels + tendency to overthink so I end up not producing anything, an area I’m starting to consciously work on. And while working on this Full Moon in Capricorn topic, I realized how the lessons from The Capricorn New Moon last December 23, 2002 has been playing out in my life, which is connected to my fluctuating energy levels.
If you have been religiously tracking your moon manifestations, which I don’t, but I’m starting to, and I’ll be sharing more about it for my blog topics, then go back to the intentions you’ve set during the New Moon in Capricorn last December and see what you’re ready to harvest within this 6-month period in relation to your career. Of course, harvest season also means something is ending in your life — this isn’t a scary ending, maybe? — but I’ll get to explaining that a bit more later on, so just keep reading. And even though you aren’t consciously tracking, just recall the events from that period up until now and look at the themes that showed up for you in the area of balancing career + other aspects of your life.
Short recap….
The New Moon last December in 1° Capricorn is represented by the energy of the 2 of Pentacles. The intention was to plant seeds to help you create a life where you can enjoy the balance of your career (or business) with other aspects in your life that are also important: rest, mental and emotional health, family, relationships, what have you. It is not to choose one over the other. The money-making aspect of our lives, contrary to what society has ingrained upon us, should not have to make you sacrifice living your life. If you’re operating in survival mode, this is really it, life is teaching you to live and not just survive.
I don’t know how that theme played out in your life during the past 6 months, but for me, life was really teaching me that there was more to work and to earning money. My workaholic-hustle corpo girl mentality carried over even when I no longer worked a corporate job anymore. Months after resigning last year (July, to be exact) I would still pressure myself to work and hit a certain income for the month, sacrificing things I could have freely enjoyed: extended breaks, longer hours of sleep, more time to do content, build on my business, which was really the reason I chose to leave corporate in the first place, right?
Yet, I was still operating in that survival mode mindset that I had to earn, earn and earn, that my worth was tied to my productivity and the money I earn, and the business I create — deeply ingrained childhood money wounds, too - definitely a lie, definitely what life was asking me to reframe.
Of course, these wounds don’t heal overnight. It’s a work in progress, but the awareness I was operating this way, where I was no longer in an environment that forced me to think this way, gave me an opportunity to shift my mindset, so I no longer pressure myself to go above and beyond what my energy levels aren’t even capable of, but to honor rest.
I used to believe that success was about the number in my bank account, but now, success for me is being able to rest without worrying about the number in my bank account. Really, if you can afford to build towards growth and expansion and the life you continuously want to improve on without burning out, isn’t that success enough?
And now the Full Moon in 11° Capricorn is the culmination of that cycle of finding balance, and reaping the rewards of the seeds (the work you did) that you’ve sowed. This period illuminates the things that are not supporting you in the goal of building a sustainable and balanced lifestyle, such as beliefs, a job that’s burning you out, work partnerships that are burning you out, so you can continue building on your progress in this area. I really want to say trust in what needs to go, so you can call in what better supports you.
The energy that we are working on for this full moon is the 3 of Pentacles, which is the mirror and shadow of the Sun, that which gives us life and vitality, which now is in the 11° Cancer, represented by the 3 of Cups. We work on the shadow so we can step into the light.

What is the support that you need in order to make money but also not burn yourself out? Are you even acknowledging that there are areas in your life that YOU DO need support from others? Because no man is an Island. Do you need mental and emotional support, perhaps a professional, to guide you to make adjustments so you can learn to balance your day to day? Do you need support from your boss or colleagues to help you cut down on your workload? Do you need a healthier environment? Do you need to reframe outdated beliefs that don’t support what it means to have a sustainable lifestyle? Do you need to find a better job that provides the work-life balance that’s sustainable for you? Know that help and support is needed to embrace the 3 of cups energy.

This is the energy where you feel nurtured and supported, where your cup does not run dry because there is space to replenish it. This is the energy where creativity flows because it is not blocked by restlessness, fear and anxiety. This is the energy of healthy collaborations, of partnerships that give you joy and inspiration to create, not partnerships that make you feel like you are being robbed of the joy of creating. This is the energy of being able to enjoy the fruits of your hard work, the balance of discipline and play, and the healthy boundary where you don’t push yourself to work to your death.
