Probably one of the best months of the year because it’s spooky month! 🎃 I know this reading is late, so I’ll get straight to it!
The overarching energy and theme of the month is the Ten of Pentacles. Before we’re able to embark in a new chapter in our lives, the previous one has to close. Endings don’t have to be physical, but they can be. Some of you may have experienced a major transition, for instance, deciding to leave your jobs to pursue a passion (not surprising as we just passed the Aries Full Moon), or this process can be an internal one, where you’ve decided to break a pattern in your lifestyle or way of thinking, especially when it comes to what success and fulfillment means for you.
Some of you may not have taken that first step yet, but there’s just this internal feeling of something ending, that feeling that you’re ready to transition into something even when you’re not clear on what it is yet. And that’s fine. Sometimes there are things going on internally that we can’t put into words that draws us into a period of retreat and introspection, but once the phase of integration is over, then you just might find the clarity that you need to make sense of this feeling.
Life always challenges us to make a choice. And with The Lovers, it’s often the choice between taking the higher path or the path that’s not necessarily wrong, but just easy and familiar. And usually, we know that there is no growth in the familiar. There’s no shame in that. What’s important is that you are honest with the choice you are making, and you acknowledge why you are making that choice.
Now, let’s explore the possibilities of these two paths: 1) what happens if I follow what I know and feel in my heart my soul is drawn towards? The Fool. 2) what happens if I choose to stay in the familiar and follow a path that entails minimal risk? The 4 of Wands.
If you choose to follow your higher path, then you are well aware that there are risks in the path towards the unfamiliar. What the 10 of Pentacles is inviting you to release are old beliefs and dogma regarding success and achievement, and understand that it isn’t always tied to financial and material gain. In order to discover and create your own definition of success, you must be willing to take a fool’s moment, empty your cup and embark in this new journey letting go of all previously held expectations. That is the only way you open up fully to the experience this new path has in store for you.
If you choose to follow a path that’s familiar, no shame in that. Maybe that is what you need right now, to ground into security and stability before being comfortable to take a risk. Maybe the passion and drive is there, but the resources aren’t ripe yet. The invitation of the 10 of Pentacles for you is to re-evaluate your journey, recalibrate, see where you can make adjustments and accumulate the resources you need to prepare, so that when the inkling towards your higher path calls again, you become prepared to answer.
I hope you enjoyed this reading as much as I enjoyed doing it. Happy spooky month! If you are interested in a more in-depth and personalized reading, my books are now open. 🎃
